Being a Dad is the best job in the world I am so grateful to my amazingly strong and beautiful wife Joanna for our family. Jo, you are my rock and I love you so very much. Father’s Day is a bitter sweet day for me. I was able to spend 10 incredible Father’s Days with the best son any dad could ask for. Today marks my 5th Fathers Day without You Paulie and I miss you so much that it physically hurts. Thank you for making me a Dad 15 year ago and for watching over our family and your sisters. To my Girls, I love you with more passion and energy then you could possibly understand. I know I can be very protective at times but know that I love and cherish you with every ounce of my soul. This incredible group of young men and women are part of the Greek Orthodox Youth Association in NJ. They planned and executed a fundraiser to support Childhood Cancer Research and raised $10,000 for The Pauliestrong Foundation. On January 5th, 2016, we lost Paul Jimenez, a 10 year old boy who went to school with many of our members. He died of a rare form of cancer that forms in soft tissue. Before he passed, Paul started a foundation, The @pauliestrong foundation, which sells shirts and other apparel to raise money for pediatric cancer research. In his honor you will see players of the Salem Sabers wearing a PJ 3 patch on their jersey. In addition, any monetary intake in this league will be donated to the @pauliestrong foundation. LEGO sets are one of the most in-demand items in a children’s cancer hospital. They allow the kids to be creative while taking their minds away from the painful cancer treatments. CANCER AWARENESS AT WEINBERG NATURE CENTER The Weinberg Nature Center will host the PaulieStrong Foundation and run a daylong event to raise awareness and funding for childhood cancer research. Paul Ulysses Jimenez was a Scarsdale youth who passed away from cancer when he was 10 years old. His memory and battle inspired the PaulieStrong Foundation. 4 years after his passing, his friends have gotten together to plan and to make this event possible. Fired up the @biggreenegg early this morning to do a delicious glazed Spiral Ham and when it was done, Edie and I delivered to the amazing officers of the @scarsdalepba who are away from their families and working in our community today.
